Why not have a look at how to learn more about mobile marketing? Many people have imagined it. Some actually followed through and did it. Most only looked at taking that approach for a short time, then got busy with other things. Some didn’t get started with it because they had little idea of the place to start. Others were discouraged because of the big unknown factors. Let’s not get stuck within the negatives before we even start here. It’s time to get analytical here. Let’s check out the for and against register on how we could learn more about mobile marketing and consider them one at a time.

Firstly, on the positive side, allow me to mention that mobile marketing is going to be the next big thing. There are 1.8 billion Internet users and you probably know how marketing shifted to the internet in the last decade. Now think about the mobile world that currently has over 5 billion cellphones worldwide.. O.K., I hear your objection, that only a small number of those 5 billion cellphones are actually smart phones that can be used for mobile marketing. It is a valid objection, I agree. However, let me bring to your attention the point that there are currently over 50 million smart phones worldwide and that number will increase substantially in the coming years. Only recently Apple launched their new iPhone4 and sold over 3 million units in less than a month.

Second off, You truly should consider that the biggest online advertising company, Google, has recently announced that they are shifting focus to mobile marketing and to prove that they mean business they bought the biggest mobile advertising platform called AdMob. And, additionally, consider that Apple is no longer a computer company as it is now called a mobile company since most of the revenue is now coming from selling iPhones, Mobile Apps and iPhone accessories. Apple also recently announced their new mobile advertising network called iAd and they almost bought AdMob before Google beat them to the punch.

Lastly, you need to look at what happened in the last 3 years since the first iPhone was launched as I think that it represents the beginning of a new age in the marketing and advertising world. Over a billion Apps have been downloaded from the Apple App Store and there are over 200,000 Apps available for download and that number increases everyday. Google’s Mobile OS Android is starting to gain power and recent reports claim that there are more Droid phones sold than iPhones. The number of Apps for the Android is also on the rise and is now over the 30,000 mark. This means that the mobile marketing world is huge right now and only getting bigger and bigger by the day. You can be one of the first to really get into the mobile marketing and just think what you could have earned if 12 years ago someone would have told you about Google AdWords!

Within all the above info lies a pretty good set of reasons in support of why you should learn more about mobile marketing. What’s your opinion? So now think about that for a minute or two. A great case has been made in favor of doing this. What if you actually could look into mobile marketing and advertising?

Microsoft used today’s Mobile World Congress to unveil its latest attempt to break into the mobile phone industry.

Windows Mobile 7 – or Windows Phone, as Microsoft has dubbed it – includes an application store that allows users of Microsoft devices to download a host of games and other applications.

It is the latest move in an “apps explosion” which has taken the mobile phone sector by storm. However, the surge in new mobile applications technology also spells good news for website marketing.

Let’s first take a look at some of most the successful apps created by those working in website promotion

Since launching at the end of January 2010, freesheet Metro’s iPhone app has been downloaded a whopping 100,000 times, making it number one in the free news app category as well as catapulting it to the top ten of free apps overall.

Others featuring in the top ten most downloaded free apps include Facebook (no surprises there), thetrainline.com and Skype, according to Techradar.

But it is not just Google and Apple that are profiting from world’s love of apps. Even phone manufacturers such as Samsung and RIM, maker of the BlackBerry, are getting in on the app act, while Nokia already has its Ovi store open for business.

Meanwhile, more than a dozen of the world’s biggest mobile phone companies, including O2 and Orange, this week announced they had joined forced to tackle the iPhone’s dominance of the smartphone market by pooling resources and creating ‘app’-style services across their range of handsets.

For people involved in website marketing, a mobile app can be a great way to expand a product or service to ensure its at the very fingertips of a company’s target audience – literally.

However, as lead website marketing advisor Davis Brewer points out, with more than 50,000 applications in the iTunes app store, organisations need to do something to help them stand out.

“If you elect to build a BlackBerry, Android, or Windows Mobile application, the marketplace won’t be quite as crowded, but you will still need to find a way to reach people,” adds Mr Brewer.

The first step should be to consider how consumers will find the application and what they may use it for, he explains. It is also important to measure the success of an app once it’s on the market to consider ways in which it could be developed.

Thinking about these challenges before your application launches will help you get started on the right foot and get the most of out of your campaign.

KLANG, Malaysia, March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — On March 11 2011, Facebook opens up a new chapter as it welcomes the new iFrames while doing away with FBML. This causes a ripple of concern among its users as many have already gotten used to the old way of using FBML to build fan pages and apps. Do you know what lies in store with the new iFrames? Facebook users are in for a quandary as FBML is made redundant with the arrival of the new kid on the block, the iFrames. While it cannot be denied that the new iFrames brings a much needed upgrade to the way Facebook Pages can be developed, such as incorporating the functionalities of a full web site onto a Facebook Page, the sudden change has taken many aback and most have not gotten around to it yet. Resources for learning and using the new iFrames are few and hard to come by.

There are a few mavericks out there who welcome the new iFrames with open arms, saying that this is indeed a much needed upgrade, but a majority are worried that the change is too rapid and argue that there just aren’t enough resources and material out there now to get up to speed on using iFrames.

Products such as http://www.FBMaxed.com handsomely combine the rich capabilities of iFrames with the HTML5 framework to produce excellent websites (yes, iFrames is capable of creating complete websites within your Facebook Page) on anyone’s Facebook Page. It is one of the few products out there on the market now that guide and teach Facebook users on how to make full use of iFrames.

The arrival of iFrames and the departure of FBML heralds an uncertain future for Facebook users. What is certain is that iFrames is here to stay for the long haul. Will you learn how to use iFrames quickly enough? Getting a good quality guide or product will go a long way in helping you to master iFrames sooner rather than later.
